Testimonials

Finally catching up with my emails since getting back from wales! Thank you for sending these photos - they are a great reminder of our exciting first moments of our expedition!! Thank you once again for organising our wonderful holiday - it really was the best time I have spent with my horse Rocky and we cant wait to embark on another riding holiday!! We also met some lovely people along the way I will be recommending you trans-wales trip to every horsey person I meet and encourage them to give the self guided route a go as it was truly brilliant and gave a real sense of achievement in making it to each overnight stop along the way!!

Thank you again..............Sarah and Rocky

5 Centre Riding Holiday

5 day ride From £595 per person
Ride for any number of days up to 12
See 2017 Rates

An absolutely fabulous 5 day circular ride setting out from and returning to Brandy House, moving on every night taking you across the Radnor Hills, through the Radnor Forest and beyond. By combining the Radnor Hills 3 centre route with the Pub ride you stay at 5 different places along the way. Ride the pub ride and instead of riding the 22 miles directly back to the Brandy House break the journey by ‘diverting’ to the Radnor Forest for a night then enjoy the ride over Pool Hill and Wernygeufron to stay in the Beacon Hill foot hills before your return over the stunning Beacon Hill to the Brandy House. Take in a petal ride at each stop, staying 2 nights and riding for up to 12 days ....... Awesome!

Day 1 - 20.5 miles

A lovely ride between the Brandy House and the Severn Arms at Penybont. Starting out on crown estate over open hillside, and crossing the Nature Reserve of Tylcau Hill you then head out through rural farmland, ancient pasture and old drovers trails to skirt round Radnor Forest and on to Penybont

Day 2 - 16.5 miles

A beautiful ride around the Llangdegly rocks and over the impressive Radnor Hills south of the Whimble and over Castle Hill.

Day 3 – 14 miles

Today brings old drovers trails into Old Radnor and then a climb up to some of the most fabulous grassy tracks up and around the Whimble before descending back down through the Radnor Forest and Bleddfa

Day 4   12 – 16.5 miles

From the Radnor Forest ride over bridle ways through delightful pasture land and then over the beautiful Pool Hill if the weather is clear and up onto Werneyguefron Hill with its wide grassy tracks and views of the blue Remembered Hills and the Offas Dyke.

Day 5  13 – 20 miles

The route back to the Brandy House is over the summit of Beacon Hill with its fabulous stunning landscape and its 5000 acres of nature reserve with spectacular views towards the Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia.  Ride to the summit of Beacon Hill itself at 1700ft where on a clear day you have 360 degree views to the Brecon Beacons in the south, Cader Idris in the North and the Long Mynd in the east.
